Vermont EV-Plug In Hybrid Incentive Update

On October 7, 2024, Central Vermont Auto Mart, along with other Vermont auto dealerships were notified that the New Plug-In Electric Vehicle (PEV) and Replace Your Ride programs will close to new applications effective October 8, 2024. Though funds had been expected to last until November or December of 2024, and increase in take rate caused the fund to simply run out of funds to pay new claims.

Although the news is disheartening, there is still the opportunity to capitalize on the remaining local utility company incentives.

Combined, these remaining incentives still provide a powerful reason to consider a plug-in hybrid or battery electric vehicle purchase for many consumers.
