Easy Steps to Restore Your Cars' Finish

Say Goodbye to Oxidized Paint - Restore Your Cars' Finish

Welcome to our guide on reviving your car's paint from oxidation! Has your car's once vibrant paint job dulled over time? No worries! With a few simple steps, you can restore its former glory.

Firstly, gather your supplies: automotive cleaner, rubbing compound, polishing compound, wax, microfiber cloths, and a buffer if available.  Begin by washing your car thoroughly to remove any surface dirt.

Next, apply the automotive cleaner to a microfiber cloth and gently rub it onto the oxidized areas. This will help remove surface contaminants. Once cleaned, use the rubbing compound to gently buff away the oxidation. Be patient and work in small sections for best results.  Be sure you work with an auto parts store to get the right buffing pad and rugging compound.  Don't push down hard for an extended period or you will cause excess wear, can damage the paint or leave swirl marks on the paints surface.

After removing the oxidation, apply the polishing compound to further enhance the shine. Use a clean microfiber cloth to buff the polish into the paint until it gleams.

Finally, seal the deal with a coat of wax to protect your car's newly restored finish. Apply the wax in circular motions and let it dry before buffing it off with another clean cloth.

Voila! Your car is now looking fresh and renewed. Remember to regularly wash and wax your car to prevent future oxidation.

Keeping your used cars' exterior clean with a shiny finish not only installs a sense of pride in your ride but should help increase your used car's value when you get ready to trade it in for something newer.
